2007

• R & D division of LPL develops an HIV viral load kit which can detect as low as 30 copies
  per ml
• Satellite laboratories at Punjabi Bagh & NOIDA & Clinical Trials Laboratory, Gurgaon receive NABL accreditation as per ISO 15189

2006

• A dedicated Research and development (R&D) department setup at the Reference Laboratory in Okhla
• Six Laboratories of Dr Lal Pathlabs namely Main Laboratory, Reference Laboratory, Satellite laboratories at Gurgaon, SDA, Preet Vihar and Mumbai successfully upgrade the NABL Quality Standard from ISO / IEC 17025 to ISO / IEC 15189

2005

• Mumbai laboratory received accreditation from NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) Min. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India as per ISO / IEC 17025

2004

• Tandem Mass Spectrometry for diagnosing Inborn Errors of Metabolism introduced for the first time in South East Asia
• India's First Laboratory to introduce Public Private Partnership laboratory services with the Govt. of Tripura
• Successful launch of in-house developed kit (Mycosure test) for Mycobacterium PCR

2003

• Satellite laboratories at Preet Vihar, Gurgaon and Safdarjung Development Area received accreditation from NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) Min. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India

2002

• First Indian Lab to get an International accreditation from the prestigious College of American Pathologists (CAP)
• First Indian Lab to install Lipoprint LDL system for LDL sub-fractions

2001

• First laboratory in India to link satellite labs (Kanpur) through VSAT & ISDN lines for real time and online data transfer to and from the main laboratory at New Delhi
• First Laboratory to be certified for ISO 9001:2000 from British Standards Institute for its Main & Reference Labs
